A ranked list of the world’s safest airlines for 2025, each beside the flag of the country it is based in. Air New Zealand is first and Qantas second; Cathay Pacific, Qatar Airways and Emirates share third. The list runs on through Etihad, ANA, EVA Air, Korean Air, Alaska Airlines and Turkish Airlines to TAP Portugal in eleventh. The publisher gives an order and no score. An inset lists the nine things the grading looks at, from serious incidents over the past two years to pilot skill and training.
