RISE Clean Cooking Policy Score

14 years, 2010–2023 · 57 countries · 5 measures

The RISE clean cooking score rates the plans, incentives and standards a country has for moving households from wood, charcoal and kerosene to clean cooking fuels and stoves, on a scale of 0 to 100. It is published by the World Bank's Energy Sector Management Assistance Program and measures the policy, not how many households cook cleanly.

This site holds every year from 2010 to 2023, read from ESMAP’s own data and stored exactly as published.

Precision

The headline is stored to 16 decimals, as published.

Rounded by this site

Never. Tables on screen may show fewer decimals; the files never do.

Changed by this site

Reshaped into one row per country: regional and income-group totals are left out, only the columns listed are kept, each row gets its ISO 3166 code, and some country names are brought to one spelling. No value is recalculated, rescaled or rounded.

From World Bank Data360 (RISE), the 2024 edition's annual series. The four parts of the score are stored beside it.
